Professor Jaeho Lee Receives Young Researcher Award at CICS 2025
Professor Jaeho Lee of the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH has been honored with the Young Researcher Award at the 2025 Conference on Information and Control Systems (CICS), jointly organized by the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE) and the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers (IEIE).
This prestigious award is presented to early-career scholars who have demonstrated outstanding research excellence in the fields of information and control. Professor Lee received this recognition for his pioneering contributions to machine learning and computationally efficient artificial intelligence technologies, which have significantly advanced both academic research and practical applications.
The award ceremony was held during CICS 2025, which took place from October 22 to 25 at the Del Pino Resort in Sokcho. As part of an invited session following the ceremony, Professor Lee delivered a presentation titled “Scaling Laws, Model Compression, and Model Expansion,” highlighting recent developments and future directions in efficient AI research.
