First meeting, a passionate resonance! The 1st Computer Engineers' Night kicks off the year with a bang.
About 150 Computer Science & Engineering department members attended the event, creating a space for exchange and harmony.
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering successfully held the first "Computer Engineers' Night" at 5:00 PM on Thursday, Nov. 27th, in the Grand Ballroom of the POSCO International Center. Approximately 150 people, including Professor, undergraduate and graduate students, and administrative staff, attended the event, demonstrating enthusiastic interest and participation despite it being the first such event.
The event began with a welcoming speech by Professor Seungmoon Choi, and the co-hosts were President Jun-Hyeok Park and Graduate Student Association Sae-Mi Moon, who further livened up the atmosphere.
This year's 'Computer Engineer's Night' was held with a black and red dress code to capture the year-end and Christmas spirit, where department members gathered to look back on the year 2025 and pledge to continue their community Activities going forward. Attendees enjoyed a variety of programs, including a BBQ dinner, a CSE overview, CSE the Bell, band performances, SNS following and draft beer events, and an awards ceremony, adding to the excitement.
Professor Seungmoon Choi, the head of the department, said, “Although this was the first event, many members participated, and we were able to confirm the capabilities and solidarity of the department community once again.” He added, “I hope that in the future, ‘Computer Engineering Night’ will become a core annual event representing the culture of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and serve as a foundation for further strengthening exchanges and a sense of belonging among members.”
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering plans to continue to pursue various programs to broaden the scope of communication and strengthen the department's community culture and sense of belonging through this event.
