Prof. Park, Poo Gyeon of POSTECH Elected as the 2026 President of ICROS

Prof. Park, Poo Gyeon of the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH has been elected the 2026 President of the Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems (ICROS), the largest academic society in Korea in the field of control.

Founded in 1994, ICROS enhances Korea’s global competitiveness in automatic control, instrumentation, and systems by publishing leading domestic and international journals—including the ICROS Journal (indexed in SCOPUS) and the International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems (indexed in SCI Expanded)—and by organizing major conferences such as ICROS and ICCAS. The society also promotes active collaboration with international partner organizations including IFAC, ISA, SICE, IEEE R&A, CAA, CAAI, and CACS.

Prof. Park, Poo Gyeon was elected in recognition of his significant research contributions to robust control and adaptive filtering, as well as his dedicated service as a member of various conference organizing committees. He will officially begin his term as President of ICROS in 2027.
